The Kantcentrum occupies the former schoolhouse where the Apostoline Sisters once taught lacemaking to generations of local residents. The building dates to eighteen ninety-nine and sits as part of the historic Adornes estate on Balstraat. It contains a museum dedicated to the history of bobbin lace and a workshop where students still learn the craft.
