The European Court of Human Rights is easily identified by two large, circular stainless steel towers that stand on either side of its main entrance. Designed by British architect Richard Rogers and opened in nineteen ninety-five, the building sits along the banks of the river Ill. Its architecture is intentionally transparent, featuring a glass facade meant to represent the accessibility of the court to every citizen.
