The International School Des Pontonniers occupies a sprawling, historicist structure defined by its distinctive bell tower and eclectic masonry that sits directly along the Ill River. Completed in nineteen oh two, the building incorporates salvaged architectural fragments from various older houses across Strasbourg, including ornate sixteenth-century timber frames and stone oriel windows that were saved from demolition during city-wide urban updates.
