Place Kléber

historic

Place Kléber is the largest public square in Strasbourg and features a prominent bronze statue of General Jean-Baptiste Kléber standing at its center. Born in this city in seventeen fifty-three, the general served during the French Revolutionary Wars. A vault beneath his monument holds his remains, which were interred there on December fifteenth, eighteen thirty-eight, after years of resting elsewhere in France.
