The Église Saint-Paul is unmistakable for its two soaring spires that reach seventy-six meters into the air, positioned prominently at the confluence of the Ill and Aar rivers. Built between eighteen ninety-two and eighteen ninety-seven by architect Louis Müller, this Neo-Gothic landmark was designed specifically as a garrison church for the German imperial troops stationed in Strasbourg during the city's annexation.
