Château de Conflans ( fontaine et rampe)

historic

The château at Charenton-le-Pont is marked today by a stone staircase with a double flight that leads to a rock-style fountain. These features are the survivors of a grand estate that stood on this site for centuries, beginning with expansions for Mahaut d'Artois in thirteen fourteen. The property once included a fortified square tower and a gallery designed to house orange trees, which later served as a country retreat for the archbishops of Paris starting in sixteen seventy-three.
