Parc de Bercy

Parc de Bercy stretches across fourteen hectares in the twelfth arrondissement, identifiable by the stretches of old railway tracks and cobbled pathways that cut through its modern green spaces. These remnants trace back to the nineteenth century, when this land operated as the largest wine market in the world. Barge traffic from the Seine once poured millions of liters of wine into this depot, where merchants processed and taxed the cargo before it reached the rest of the city.
