The historic building at fifty-seven rue Charles Auray is recognized as an eighteenth-century hôtel particulier, a grand private residence sometimes referred to as the Folie de la Seigneurie. Designed in a neoclassical style, it is built on a symmetrical plan in the shape of a letter H, featuring a central three-story main building flanked by lower side wings.
