Square Henri-Sellier

park garden

Square Henri-Sellier is a quiet park surrounded by fifty-six individual houses, all marked by a distinct gray Tyrolean plaster and a lack of exterior ornament. These houses, built between nineteen twenty-eight and nineteen thirty-one, are the most atypical section of the Cité-jardin du Pré-Saint-Gervais. This entire district was designed by the architect Félix Dumail to provide social housing on land formed by the embankments of the Paris metro and the former Trou Marin area.
