The Square du Buisson Saint-Louis is a small urban space in the tenth arrondissement, tucked away along the street of the same name. Its name recalls a time before the city swallowed the landscape, when the area was a rural path covered in bushes leading toward the hills of Belleville. By the eighteenth century, the path had transitioned into a proper street, eventually named for the nearby Hôpital Saint-Louis.
