The Square Eugène Thomas is a small, triangular public space distinguished by the presence of a memorial statue depicting Victory, which stands in memory of those from the twelfth arrondissement who died during the First and Second World Wars. Created around eighteen seventy-seven alongside the construction of the adjacent twelfth arrondissement town hall, the square originally took its name from that municipal building.
