Square Georges Contenot

The Square Georges Contenot is defined by its four twelve-story towers, which stand out for their unusual design featuring two conjoined tripods. Built in nineteen fifty-four, the site transformed a private, landscaped residential block into a neighborhood of five hundred modern housing units. The layout was modeled after architectural styles popularized in Sweden during the nineteen forties to allow for through-unit apartments that catch light from multiple sides.
