The square Saint-Éloi is recognizable by the blue, mosaic-covered whale sculpture that sits in the center of a shallow water basin. Established in nineteen seventy-four, the park covers over ten thousand square meters of land that once belonged to a convent of the Mathurine nuns, whose grounds stretched between the rue Érard and the passage Montgallet during the eighteenth century.
