Place de Catalogne

Place de Catalogne is a wide, circular space in the fourteenth arrondissement defined by its recent transformation into a dense urban forest. Where once a vast, paved roundabout dominated the area, more than four hundred and seventy trees—including holm oaks and maples—now grow across four thousand square meters of planted earth. This green canopy surrounds the perimeter of the square, creating a deliberate contrast to the surrounding glass-and-stone apartment blocks.
