Porte des Lilas de Paris

Porte des Lilas marks the eastern boundary of Paris, standing where a defensive gate in the nineteenth-century Thiers wall once controlled entry into the city from the town of Les Lilas. Today, this location is known as a major transit hub where the Paris Métro lines eleven and three-bis converge, sitting squarely on the edge of the nineteenth and twentieth arrondissements.
