Les Passages Couverts de Paris 1

The Passage des Panoramas, inaugurated in seventeen ninety-nine, is the oldest covered shopping arcade in Paris. You can identify it by its glazed glass roof and iron framework, which cut through the urban block between Boulevard Montmartre and Rue Saint-Marc. It was built by the American inventor Robert Fulton on the site of the former Hôtel de Montmorency.
