Pont Marie is a stone bridge with five arches connecting the Right Bank of the Seine to the Île Saint-Louis. Built during the seventeenth century, it ranks among the oldest bridges in Paris. The piers supporting the structure feature empty niches originally designed to hold statues that were never installed.
