The Maison Européenne de la Photographie is housed within the seventeenth-century Hôtel Hénault de Cantobre, a historic mansion tucked away at the corner of rue de Fourcy. You can recognize the site by the contrast between its classical stone facade and the modern architectural interventions, including a glass-fronted wing, designed by architect Yves Lion during the building's nineteen nineties restoration.
