Hotel de la Marck

The Hôtel de la Marck, located at twenty-five rue de Surène, is identified by the imposing double portal that gives access to the building from the street. Constructed between seventeen fifty-eight and seventeen fifty-nine for Gilles-Jérôme Sandrié, the private mansion became the home of Louis-Engelbert, count of La Marck, in seventeen sixty. The structure originally functioned as a house for the aristocracy, with its primary entrance once positioned on the rue d’Aguesseau.
