Weißenburger Platz is defined by its circular, star-shaped layout, where five streets converge into a central green space. At the heart of this plaza stands the Glaspalast-Brunnen, a five-tiered stone fountain designed by August von Voit in eighteen fifty-three. The fountain is named for the Glaspalast, or Glass Palace, where it originally stood in Munich’s Old Botanical Garden.
