Lycabettus Hill Funicular

The Lycabettus Funicular is a railway that disappears directly into the limestone of Lycabettus Hill, the highest point in central Athens. Inaugurated on April eighteen, nineteen sixty-five, the line was built by the Greek National Tourism Organization to bypass the steep, pine-covered slopes for visitors heading to the summit. The lower station sits at the intersection of Aristippou and Ploutarchiou Streets in the Kolonaki neighborhood.
