Built between eighteen oh three and eighteen oh six, the mansion was originally the residence of the aristocratic Sándor family. It is named not for the count who commissioned it, but for his son, Móric Sándor, a nineteenth-century nobleman who earned local fame as the Devil's Horseman for his daring equestrian acrobatics.
