The Gurdwara Baba Atal Rai Sahib Ji is a nine-story octagonal tower that stands as the tallest building in Amritsar. It was constructed to commemorate the life of Baba Atal Rai, the son of the sixth Sikh Guru, Guru Hargobind. Standing forty meters high, the tower reaches toward the sky as a monument to a child who lived only nine years.
