Thakur Dwara Gaddi Shri Bawa Lal Ji Karmodeori stands in the central walled city of Amritsar as a place of spiritual gathering. It is one of twenty-two such seats, or gaddis, established by the fifteenth-century saint Bawa Lal Dayal. Bawa Lal Dayal, also known as Lal Das Bairagi, was a prominent figure in the Ramanandi Sampradaya who spent his life traveling across Northern India and beyond to promote peace and the welfare of society.
