Khazana Gate

Khazana Gate stands as a historical entrance into the old walled city of Amritsar. It is one of the twelve original gates commissioned by Maharaja Ranjit Singh during the eighteen twenties to protect and fortify the city. While many people associate the name with the royal treasury, local accounts often trace its origin to a servant named Khazana who held the land on this side of the city.
