Gurudwara Darshani Deori is a small, historic site located in the crowded Mai Sewa Bazaar. It is not the grand archway often confused with it at the entrance to the Golden Temple complex, but rather a distinct location that marks where the fourth, fifth, and sixth Sikh Gurus would stop to bow their heads upon catching their first glimpse of the Harmandir Sahib. In the time of the Gurus, there was no construction between this spot and the temple, providing an unobstructed view across the open landscape.
