Jallianwala Bagh

Jallianwala Bagh is a public garden defined by its high, narrow entrance and the tall, surrounding walls that enclose the grounds. On April thirteenth, nineteen nineteen, this space became the site of a mass shooting that changed the course of India’s struggle for independence. Thousands of people had gathered here, many to celebrate the Baisakhi festival and others to protest the recent arrest of independence leaders.
