Hall Gate

Hall Gate stands as a distinctive entry point into the city of Amritsar, marked by the prominent Gurbani slogan, Amritsar Sifti Da Ghar, inscribed atop the structure. Built in eighteen seventy-three, this gate replaced parts of the city’s older double wall that the British colonial administration demolished to modernize transit and trade. While it was officially renamed Gandhi Gate after India gained independence, it remains known to residents by its original name.
