Mirage

The name Mirage in Tel Aviv is often associated with the Mirage III fighter jets that became a core component of the Israeli Air Force during the mid-twentieth century. Shimon Peres, who later served as prime minister and president, was a key figure in the mid-nineteen fifties negotiations that secured these advanced French aircraft for the state.
