Dar Si Said Museum

The Dar Si Said Museum is defined by its ornate, traditional riad courtyard featuring a central pavilion of carved wood and a mosaic fountain. This building began as a private residential palace, commissioned between eighteen ninety-four and nineteen hundred by Si Said ibn Musa. As the minister of defense and the brother of the powerful Grand Vizier Ba Ahmad, Si Said created a space that mirrors the architectural grandeur of the nearby Bahia Palace, utilizing cedar wood carvings, painted ceilings, and complex geometric tilework.
