Miaâra

The Miâra Cemetery is defined by thousands of rounded, whitewashed stone tombs that stretch across the landscape, creating a quiet contrast to the dense activity of the neighboring Mellah. As the largest Jewish cemetery in Morocco, this site has served the local community for more than five hundred years, with its origins tied to the sixteenth-century establishment of the Jewish quarter.
