Cimetière Imam Souhaili

The Cimetière Imam Souhaili sits just outside the old city walls near Bab er-Robb, occupying the site of a former gate once known as Bab ash-Sharia. This cemetery is the final resting place of Abu al-Qasim al-Suhayli, a twelfth-century scholar originally from Malaga who traveled to Marrakech at the invitation of the Almohad Sultan Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Mansur.
