Indra Chowk is a ceremonial crossroads where six streets converge in the heart of historic Kathmandu. You can identify the square by the three-story Akash Bhairab Temple on its western side, which is distinguished by gilded lion figures rearing out from the first-floor ledge. Above the entrance, in a second-floor balcony, rests a large, blue-faced mask of the sky god, Akash Bhairab, adorned with silver eyes and an intricate crown.
