Chhusya Bahal

Chhusya Bahal is marked by two stone lions guarding its main entrance, where a carved arched doorway—a torana—depicts the Buddhist deity Prajnaparamita. This building is a classic Newari bahal, or courtyard monastery, constructed during the Malla period. From the street, the exterior appears plain, with small windows and brick walls, but the interior reveals a traditional, hollow square structure built around a central brick-paved courtyard.
