Al-Hanafi Mosque

The Al-Hanafi Mosque stands in the Al-Sham quarter of old Jeddah, recognizable by its single, prominent stone minaret positioned at the southwestern corner of the structure. As the largest mosque in the historic city, it was traditionally constructed from local coral stone to withstand the humid coastal climate. The building features a large open courtyard and a prayer hall organized around arcades of pillars.
