Gyeongju Ten Won Bread is a thick, coin-shaped pastry easily identified by its imprint of the Dabotap pagoda, the historic stone monument located at Bulguksa Temple. While it takes its name from the South Korean ten-won coin first minted in nineteen sixty-six, the snack itself is a modern creation of castella-style batter filled with stretchy mozzarella cheese.
