Bonghwangdae is the largest single burial mound in Gyeongju, rising twenty-two meters high with a circumference of two hundred and fifty meters. You can pick it out by the towering, ancient zelkova trees growing directly from its grass-covered slopes. While it resembles a massive natural hill, it is a royal tomb from the Silla Kingdom, dating back to the fourth or fifth century.
