Atlas Pasajı is recognizable by its prominent, storied facade opening directly onto İstiklal Street. Built in eighteen seventy following a major fire in the Beyoğlu district, the structure originally served as the private winter residence of Agop Köçeyan, a wealthy Armenian businessman and banker.
