The Aznavur Pasajı is a nine-story structure defined by its intricate Art Nouveau facade and the heavy iron gate facing Istiklal Street. Built at the end of the nineteenth century, it occupies the site where two prominent social spots, Cafe Commerce and Cafe de Pera, once stood. It was designed by Hovsep Aznavuryan, an Ottoman Armenian architect who also created the famed Mısır Apartmanı.
