The Ten Bells occupies the corner of Commercial Street and Fournier Street, where the exterior features blue and white floral-patterned Victorian tiles. The business has operated at this location since at least seventeen fifty-two. The name comes from the peal of ten bells housed in the tower of Christ Church, which stands directly across the street.
