The Los Angeles Theatre stands at six hundred fifteen South Broadway as the most elaborate movie palace ever constructed in the Broadway Theater District. Completed in nineteen thirty-one, the structure is identified by its French Baroque interior, which features a six-story lobby with a grand central staircase and a crystal fountain at the top. Architects S. Charles Lee and Samuel Tilden Norton designed the opulent space, which is often compared to the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles.
