Bay Bridge Lookout

The San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge connects the city to Yerba Buena Island and Oakland, stretching four and a half miles across the water. While often overshadowed by the Golden Gate Bridge, this structure carries Interstate eighty and has served as a primary transit artery for the region since nineteen thirty-six. Its western span is characterized by a double-deck suspension design, while the eastern section spans the remainder of the bay.
