Napier Lane is a narrow boardwalk that serves as the only survivor of its kind in the district, winding horizontally across the slope of Telegraph Hill. You can identify this pedestrian path by its lack of asphalt and the cluster of wooden cottages that line its planks, some of which date back to the eighteen fifties.
