Club Fugazi sits on Green Street as a two-story building featuring a facade that reflects its origins as a community center for the Italian colony. Designed by architect Italo Zanolini and opened in nineteen thirteen, the structure was financed by banker John F. Fugazi as a gift to the North Beach community. The venue is easily identified by its historic, club-like atmosphere and its role as a persistent home for live performance in the heart of San Francisco.
