The International Hotel, commonly known as the I-Hotel, sits at the corner of Kearny and Jackson Streets where the Financial District meets Chinatown. A fourteen-story apartment building today, it occupies the site of a long-standing residential hotel that served as the heart of Manilatown, a historic ten-block enclave for Filipino farmworkers and laborers.
