The Fireboat House at Pier Twenty-Two and a Half is identifiable by its Renaissance Revival architecture, a style that stands out with its Mission Revival details. Built in nineteen fifteen, the structure was originally constructed for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition before being moved to the Embarcadero to house the crews operating San Francisco’s fireboats. It remains the city's only firehouse specifically dedicated to the marine unit.
