Golden Era Building

The Golden Era Building is a low-rise brick structure located at seven thirty-two Montgomery Street. You can identify it by the cast iron pillars added to its exterior during an eighteen ninety-two remodel. Built in eighteen fifty-two on the foundations of a previous structure lost to the fires of eighteen fifty-one, it sits within the Jackson Square Historic District, an area that preserves many of the city’s earliest commercial buildings.
