Carl Larsen Park

Carl Larsen Park is defined by a six point six acre expanse that stretches between Nineteenth and Twentieth Avenues, marked at its northeastern corner by a large rock holding a bronze memorial plaque. This park originated in nineteen twenty-six when Carl Larsen, a Danish immigrant and former chicken rancher, donated the land to the city. Built under the supervision of John McLaren, the park officially opened in nineteen twenty-seven.
