Golden Gate Masonic Hall

The Golden Gate Masonic Temple, located at twenty-four hundred Fourteenth Avenue, is recognizable by its solid, rectangular form that rises above the residential scale of the surrounding blocks. Built in nineteen twenty-eight, the structure originally functioned as a meeting space for local organizations and was soon adopted by the Parkside Masonic Association. This group, composed of men living in the nearby Sunset and Parkside neighborhoods, eventually organized themselves into the Far West Lodge number six hundred seventy-three.
