Hall of Justice (San Francisco)

The Thomas J. Cahill Hall of Justice is a massive, granite-clad structure occupying a full city block at eight fifty Bryant Street. Built between nineteen fifty-eight and nineteen sixty, this austere complex serves as the central hub for San Francisco’s criminal justice system, housing the Superior Court and offices for the sheriff and district attorney. Its heavy, windowless appearance and sprawling footprint make it a distinct, imposing presence near the edge of the freeway.
